FM Boost privacy policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
FM Boost does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data.
- No network access. The app does not connect to the internet, so nothing it handles can leave your device.
- No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking.
- No recording. FM Boost does not use the microphone. It applies equalizer and compression effects to the audio
that music players send to Android’s audio system, in real time, without saving or analysing that audio.
- Settings stay on your device. Your sound settings and whether you have seen the setup help are stored
locally by the app and are removed when you uninstall it.
- Player names. To show which player is connected, the app reads the name of that app from your device. This
never leaves the device.
- Optional diagnostic permission. If you grant the optional DUMP permission over adb, the app reads Android’s
audio system status on the device to find players that do not announce themselves, and to show the live level
meter. This information is used only on the device and is never stored or transmitted.
